Leftover Madness
Christmas ham, potatoes, green beans, and spaghetti — yes, spaghetti — all warmed over in a big bowl.

Late Start = Brunch
Got a bit of a late start today. Thus, there was neither breakfast nor lunch, but rather brunch. Which was in the form of two eggs over medium atop two slices of deli ham (fried up a bit) atop two English muffin halves with a little homemade mayo. And it was good.
Stay Don't Go
Today I hung out with my parents and they fed me, which is almost always delightful. Lunch was homemade mac and cheese but it had all kinds of extra junk in it that made it extra delicious.
Mom also made hot cocoa from real cocoa.
Of course, all of this deliciousness was a ploy to get me not to move out of the state.

Today’s lunch was creamy peanut butter and strawberry preserves on wheat bread. Oh, and a satsuma for dessert. Man, if you’ve never had a satsuma orange you’re missing out. They’re so sweet, and the peels really do just fall right off. It’s not so much peeling as it is undressing.
So good.
I missed satsumas so much.

Hungover Noodle
Today was leftover drunken noodle from House of Thai. I’m pretty sure you’d call that hungover noodle.
Consumed by mouth not camera
I specifically brought my camera to lunch at Dosun Noodle House because I knew I’d be getting the char-grilled pork and green onions and fried shallots over jasmine rice with nuoc cham on the side.
And I did.
And I ate that deliciousness RIGHT UP without bothering to take a picture.
BUT MAN IS VIETNAMESE PORK OVER RICE ONE OF THE BEST THINGS EVER SECOND ONLY TO PHO.

Wednesday I was on my own in Cookeville and tried out Cafe Trio, which used to be World Foods. I’d always loved the muffuletta at World Foods, so I thought I’d try it out. Meat, cheese, olives. Potato chips and a soda. Not bad, not bad, but nothing to write home about.

A rockin’ veggie burger was consumed today for lunch at Good Mood Foods. Salad on the side. They also threw in a small bowl of the white bean and vegetable soup. All was very tasty. Now, coffee.

Wednesday, I had breakfast at 13th St. 2 eggs over medium, 2 sausage patties, biscuit & gravy, a big ol’ pile of home fries, and a cup of coffee. With a breakfast like that, I needed no lunch. I was good ‘til dinner.
Turkey Sandwich Repeat
Today was a repeat of Sunday’s turkey sandwich, except this time I had potato chips on the side. Very exciting stuff. Now, it’s coffee time at the coffee place.
Veggie Day
Today I made one of my favorite sandwichy concoctions.
First I tossed some sliced onion and bell pepper on the panini machine and gave ‘em a good grill. Melted some Swiss cheese on top of the vegetables and threw it all on some whole wheat toast with lettuce and hummus.

GMF's Black Bean Burger
Had lunch at Good Mood Foods today. Black bean burger and roasted potatoes. It was pretty tasty. I think I like their veggie burger better though.

Bacon, lettuce, avocado, ranch on whole wheat. The ranch was a poor decision on my part, but the rest was tasty. Followed by a piece o’ toast with peanut butter and honey.

Today was a busy day at the coffee shop, so I couldn’t dedicate much energy to creating a masterful meal. I did, however, manage to crank up the panini machine. The results were ok, but not amazingly scrumptious. Bacon, turkey, and cream cheese on whole grain bread, tossed in the sandwich press.

Put that in the skillet and get it HOT and cook the water out of it and then pick it out with your BARE FINGERS because implements are for the weak. Put it on bread with mayo and two slices of Swiss cheese.

Yesterday, I heated up some piquillo peppers and leftover turkey in a pan with some olive oil. I put that on some Italian bread with homemade basil pesto, goat cheese and spinach. The sandwich was then placed in the George Foreman grill panino-style. It was nice and tasty with some olive antipasto on the side.
